Among other things, Sites of Grace serve as checkpoints. If you die, you will respawn at the Site of Grace with which you have most recently interacted with.
There are as many as 41 Sites of Grace to be discovered while exploring the Caelid region.

The Caelid region is connected to a smaller realm, namely Greyoll's Dragonbarrow. The poisonous wetlands and formidable opponents make travelling through this region challenging. It's recommended to explore this location once your character has reached a higher level.
You will arrive at the Divine Tower of Caelid Site of Grace after defeating Radahn and obtaining his Great Rune, while the Deep Siofra Well can be accessed from the Siofra River underground region.
