Fate/stay night Remastered

Fate/stay night Remastered is a refreshed version of the visual novel Fate/stay night, released in 2004 for PC, three years later for PlayStation 2, and in 2012 converted for PlayStation Vita as Fate/stay night [R?alta Nua].

The production described here is based on the latter release and is the fruit of cooperation between the authors of the original, the Type-Moon studio, and the fuzz team. It is also the first version of Fate/stay night to be translated into English.

The plot

Fate/stay night Remastered takes us to an urban fantasy universe, more precisely - to the fictional Japanese city of Fuyuki. The main character of the game is a young adept of magic - Shirou Emiya. Unforeseen circumstances force the protagonist to take part in a regularly held ritual in which magicians compete with each other for the possession of the Holy Grail that grants wishes. To beat the competition, they summon to their aid so-called Servants (Servants), who are in fact Heroic Spirits, or heroes and heroines of myths and legends from around the world.

How Shirou's fate will turn out, with whom he will ally, with whom he will have to deal, and finally - whether he will manage to conquer the Holy Grail - depends largely on our actions and choices.

Gameplay

The gameplay in Fate/stay night Remastered does not deviate from the pattern characteristic of the visual novel genre. The mainstay of the game, therefore, is reading text descriptions of places and situations in which the protagonist finds himself, as well as having conversations with characters.

In addition, we regularly have to make choices that affect the further course of the story and its ending. In addition to the first story line, Fate, there are two additional ones waiting to be unlocked, namely Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel. To see them all, we must complete the adventure multiple times, making different decisions along the way.

Graphics

The graphic design of Fate/stay night Remastered consists mainly of two-dimensional illustrations presenting locations, characters and situations, which are maintained in a manga style. Compared with the original, the discussed item stands out mainly due to its adaptation to run in higher resolution.
