Millennia: Ancient Worlds PC

Millennia: Ancient Worlds is the first major addition to the 4X strategy game titled Millenia, released in March 2024. The authors of the original, C Prompt Games studio, are behind the development of this DLC.

The plot

The plot of the add-on Millennia: Ancient Worlds is set in prehistory, long before the formation of the first civilizations. The developers allow us to take control of a nomadic tribe and guide it through the successive stages of development, until it finds a place for a permanent headquarters and proceeds to build a proper society.

Gameplay

Millennia: Ancient Worlds brings a number of previously unavailable options to the early stages of the game. The first of these is the nomadic society, a new type of government through which our community gains access to short-term bonuses, building camps or sending groups of nomads into the field.

By taking control of nomads, we help them in their search for resources and face the challenges that await them. Nomads must deal with threats from predators and dangerous large animals. In addition, embarking on an adventure in the permafrost is synonymous with limited access to natural resources; however, as warming continues, the situation gradually changes and the tundra is replaced by lush meadows and dense forests.

In addition, nomads have a new national messenger spirit at their disposal, which allows them to interact with other groups and bestow gifts on them, receive resources from smaller groups in gratitude for their independence, and trade in a new special commodity - llamas. A sort of icing on the cake are the natural wonders, such as Jianglang Peak, Iguazu Falls or even the Redwood Forest, waiting to be discovered in expeditions organized to them.

Technical issues

Millennia: Ancient Worlds is a non-self-contained add-on, so it requires the basic version of theMillennia game .
