In Assassin's Creed Valhalla you can acquire gear not only on missions but also from special chests that contain interesting items. You can get a new weapon, shield or pieces of armor for free. However, some of the chests with gear are hidden inside buildings, tunnels, underground, or are locked. Mentor's Cloak
You will find this chest in the enemy camp - Loch Clunbre Hideout.
To get to it you need to get a key carried by one of the enemies. Just kill him to get the item. Then open the chest, which is located in the same building.
Mentor's Mask
You will find the mask in a hideout in Sherwood.
To get to it you just have to avoid/eliminate opponents and then run into one of the tents.
