Deviator PC

Deviator is a metroidvania production, realized in the form of an action platform game. The production was developed by the independent team of Gami Studio and is its debut project.

Gameplay

In Deviator the action is viewed from the side. The title takes us to a fantastic world that is home to peculiar creatures. Taking on the role of one of them, we traverse this land and learn its secrets, as well as face the dangers lurking in it.

The adventure takes us through a variety of locations - from lush forests, through ice-capped canyons, to a metropolis filled with technology. The locations are full of platforms to jump on, as well as traps and terrain obstacles to avoid and overcome. In addition, along the way we often have to fight enemies. We eliminate enemies both by waging fierce duels with them in close quarters (using white weapons) and by launching ranged attacks.

The combat system implemented here places special emphasis on parrying. Reflecting the blows of enemies, we charge a special momentum indicator (momentum), and when it is filled,we gain temporary reinforcement (among other things, in the form of higher damage inflicted on targets). All this makes that the key to success here is very careful observation of enemy movements, as well as demonstrating reflexes, which allows us to react in time to the actions of opponents.

As we progress, we unlock skills that not only allow us to face increasingly powerful adversaries, but also enable us to get to new places. So from time to time it is worth returning to already visited locations, if only to discover previously missed secrets.

Graphics

The two-dimensional graphics of the Deviator game are maintained in a cartoonish style.
