Ferryman is an NPC from the Fallout London mod, whom you must find in the Thameshaven underground in the Charybdis quest. The description from our guide tells you how to jump down the elevator shaft, where to find and how to rescue Ferryman from the leeches, and how to seal the breach with the help of a bomb.

One of the first quests in Fallout London is Charybdis taking place in Thameshaven. We described its most important steps - talking to Rachel Hall, jumping down the elevator shaft, saving the Ferryman from leeches, planting a bomb in the subway tunnel to seal the breach and reaching Thameshaven Market.

Conversation with Rachel Hall

During the Charybdis quest you must use the southern entrance to Thameshaven and follow a linear path leading through this location. Along the way you have to watch out for radiation and monsters.

You will meet Rachel Hall - she will promise you help in exchange for finding the missing Ferryman. During the conversation, you can use Charisma (6 or more points) to receive 3 free stimpaks from Rachel.

Jumping down the elevator shaft

Rachel will also always give you 3 units of Rad-X and you should take one right away - you are about to enter irradiated areas, and Rad-X increases your immunity. After receiving more radiation, remember to use RadAway to remove it.

The entrance to the elevator shaft is near Rachel - press the button. It's safer to use ladders and jump down to lower ledges. During the descent you can find a small area with flares and a RadAway.

Ultimately, you have to jump into irradiated water and this is where Rad-X will be most useful. Quickly get out of the water - you will face the first monsters.

Finding the Ferryman

The path leading through the balconies and narrow platforms is quite linear. Try to avoid contact with water unless it is necessary to proceed. Walk on boards and other platforms above the water.

We recommend saving the game after approaching the passage with the terminal shown in the picture. Interact with the terminal to unlock the door.

Saving the Ferryman

After opening the gate, attack the large Leechlings that threaten the Ferryman. You can kill them with the Flare Gun while standing in the doorway or go inside and use a melee weapon.

Don't attack the large Sushi lizard - this is the Ferryman's pet. It will help you get rid of leeches.

Meeting with the Ferryman and sealing the breach

After the fights, talk to the Ferryman and receive the objective to plant a bomb to seal the breach.

Go down the out of order escalator to the lower level. Reach the place with the white arrow shown in the picture. You have to jump into the water here - it is worth taking Rad-X again beforehand to reduce the radiation received.

Travel along the narrow footbridges to the bomb planting site. Before you do this, we recommend keeping Churchill or other companions at a safe distance from the breach (give them an order) - this way you will avoid them getting seriously injured (risk of wasting a stimpak).

Place the bomb on the support as shown in the picture, run to a safe distance and wait for the explosion to seal the breach.

Reaching Thameshaven Market and meeting the Ferryman for the second time

Head back to the place where the wounded Ferryman was previously. The stairs leading up are nearby. After using them, the man will remove the chain from the door shown in the picture and unlock a new passage. Go through the passage to Thameshaven Market.

At the marketplace you can talk to Rachel Hall again and visit the clinic to talk to the Ferryman lying on the bed. These activities are part of the Charybdis quest.
