- In a nutshell: a TPP shooter with bullet time mechanics
There aren't many games with a PC origin that look better on a mobile than on a PC. Max Payne is such an exception, although the differences in favor of the portable version aren't huge. The mobile port appears to operate at a higher resolution and offer better audio quality. Besides the "at a glance" assessment, this is also indicated by the larger file size than on the PC.
This title tells the story of a policeman whose family - wife and child - were murdered. So the main motive for his actions is revenge. However, it wasn't just the plot, but the dirty and dark atmosphere that won the hearts of the players. They also praised the mechanic known as bullet time. Max Payne wasn't the first game to feature time slowdown, but this is where the feature was the most enjoyable.
The touch control has been implemented quite well. Controlling the protagonist and aiming is hassle-free and intuitive, at least for people who often play mobile productions. I advise less experienced players to select the low difficulty level and practice. The game is quite difficult and doesn't forgive too many mistakes.
