St. Paul's Sanctuary is a key location in the Fidei Defensor quest in Fallout London. This page will tell you how to complete this quest and what to do with the Arch that accompanies you.

Fidei Defensor quest is part of the thread related to Thameshaven and Archie. Your goal will be to get to the Sanctuary in the Cathedral of St. Paul. During this quest, you will also be able to recruit Archie as a companion and then decide on his fate. How to start the quest and recruit Archie?
After defeating the boss in Monument Lab, talking to the Ferryman and completing the Lands of the Seraph quest (read more about it on the Where to find Archie in Rotherhith? page), a new quest called Fidei Defensor will be automatically added to your journal.
During the conversation, Archie will ask you if he can join you as a companion. You can:
- agree, but you will have to talk to him again about travelling together once you reach St. Paul's Sanctuary.
- refuse, by saying that it would be too dangerous for him.
In our opinion, however, it is worth agreeing to Archie's proposal and travel with him at least until he reaches the Sanctuary.
In Fallout London, you can only travel with one companion at a time. If you accept Archie into your team while you already have Churchill the dog with you, the animal will return to the place where you first met him (in Churchill's case, it will be the Prilladog Food Factory).
How to get to the Sanctuary?
The Cathedral and its Sanctuary are located north-west of London Bridge. You can, for example, start your journey from the Monument you visited during the previous quest. Looking at the layout of perpendicular streets, you will easily find the destination.
After reaching the place marked on the map, you will see closed gates of the sanctuary and several armed people. Talk to the cleric nicknamed Frenchman. He will tell you that the asylum is not currently accepting new refugees due to the increased activity of bandits in the area.
At some point, the conversation will be interrupted and your team will be attacked by a group of hooligans. Help the sanctuary's defenders repel the attack, then talk to the cleric again.
Frenchman will ask you to eliminate the leader of the local gang - Violent Violet. Accept the task and go looking for the woman.
Where to find Violent Violet?
The headquarters of Violent Violet's gang is located a few streets away, east of the Sanctuary.
During your journey, watch out for a building filled with radioactive waste near the bandit camp. There are two Mr. Handy robots in the area, which are quite durable and can easily kill you.
The entrance to the hooligans' hideout is guarded by several bandits and dogs. Deal with them and go inside.
Inside you will find a large room full of enemies. If you mainly use firearms, we recommend that you stick to the vestibule of the main hall and keep shooting at the hooligans (who mainly use melee weapons).
Once you have secured the main hall, head deeper into the building. The door is in one of the corners of the room.
Go down the stairs and defeat the bandits along the way. At the very bottom, in the basement, you will find their leader - Violent Violet. Be careful when leaning out of the staircase, because there is an automatic turret hidden just around the corner. Destroy them, e.g. using the VATS system (Q key).
After eliminating all the bandits, you can go back to the gates of the Sanctuary.
What to do with Archie?
When you return, you will be attacked by bandits again. Repel the attack and talk to Frenchman. The man will thank you and invite you inside the Sanctuary.
After crossing the gates of the Sanctuary, Archie will automatically start a conversation with you, during which you will be able to decide about his fate. You can:
- tell him you want to travel together,
- ask him to stay in the safe Sanctuary. Archie will lose his companion status, but you can visit the Sanctuary at any time during the game, talk to the boy and recruit him again.
Where to find Whaler?
Before completing the quest, you must talk to Bishop Whaler. The priest stays inside the cathedral. Enter the building and follow the mission objective.
The bishop is at the pulpit, which you can get to by using the ladder nearby. Talk to him. He will thank you for helping him fight the bandits, give you a reward, and reveal information about Lazarus. Exhaust the dialogue options and the Fidei Defensor quest will be completed.
