Fallout London: Best perks Fallout London guide, tips

Perks are one of the main mechanics involved in leveling up in Fallout London. On this page of the guide, we have compiled a list of the most interesting ones for you.

Last update: 01 August 2024

Fallout London mod borrows the character leveling system from its original (Fallout 4). Each time you gain a level, you can choose a new perk - a special skill or a passive ability. On this page of the guide, we have collected the most interesting perks that are worth considering when you level up.

When do you get and choose perks?

Every time you level up, your character receives 1 point (perkpoint), which can be used to unlock one of the perks - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Every time you level up, your character receives 1 point (perkpoint), which can be used to unlock one of the perks. Perks take the form of passive modifiers (less often active skills) that affect a specific element of the game. These are usually various bonuses for specific types of attacks (e.g. certain weapons), the ability to perform specific actions (e.g. opening expert locks) or an unlocked buff or facilitator (e.g. showing all locations on the map).

However, not every perk can be obtained by every character - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

However, not every perk can be obtained by every character. The ability to unlock a specific perk depends on your character's level and S.P.E.C.I.A.L. statistics. If your character does not meet any of the conditions, he or she cannot unlock a new perk. This system somehow forces the character to specialize in a given area, because the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. level requirements usually concern perks related to actions dictated by the mentioned statistics.

Some perks have their own levels (Rank). Obtaining another one will force you to spend another perkpoint, but will give you access to more and more advanced modifiers.

S.P.E.C.I.A.L. Training

Set of 7 perks named "Stat Name" Training is the simplest of the abilities - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Set of 7 perks named "Stat Name" Training is the simplest of the abilities. Each of them increases the selected S.P.E.C.I.A.L. stat immediately by 1 level. This option may appeal to people who are interested in obtaining another perk, but do not meet the minimum requirement of the selected statistic. Training is always an option for those who are undecided and don't like any of the other perks.

On our Tips and tricks page, we suggested keeping one active development point in case you encounter a difficult and important skill test that you are only 1 point away from passing. In such cases, you will be able to use the Training perk.

Big Leagues

Requirements: Level 0, Strength > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Strength >=2 (at 1 out of 5 perk levels);

Your melee weapon attacks deal 20% more damage. This ability will be especially useful in Fallout London, where firearms appear much less frequently than in the base game, which means you will often have to resort to close combat.

Armourer

Requirements: Level 0, Strength > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Strength >=3 (at 1 out of 4 perk levels);

It allows you to modify armor at level 1 (subsequent levels with next perk levels). This ability is useful for players interested in crafting.

Blacksmith

Requirements: Level 0, Strength > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Strength >=4 (at 1 out of 3 perk levels);

It allows you to modify melee weapons at level 1 (subsequent levels with next perk levels). An almost mandatory ability for people who want a build focused on close combat.

Slayer

Requirements: Level 0, Strength > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Strength >=10 (at 1 out of 2 perk levels);

The speed of all melee attacks is increased by 25%. A useful perk that can be upgraded, but it requires 10 Strength points making it useful only for very specific builds.

Rifleman

Requirements: Level 0, Perception > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Perception >=2 (at 1 out of 5 perk levels);

Attacks from non-automatic rifles deal an additional 20% damage. The ability to develop the perk makes it an ideal choice for players who prefer long-range combat and sniper rifles.

Locksmith

Requirements: Level 0, Perception > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Perception >=4 (at 1 out of 4 perk levels);

Allows you to open advanced locks (more difficult locks on subsequent levels of the perk). A must-have for most gamers. The inability to open even medium-sized locks immediately cuts you off from a huge amount of potential loot. Therefore, it is worth developing this skill by at least 1 or 2 levels.

Sniper

Requirements: Level 0, Perception > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Perception >=8 (at 1 out of 3 perk levels);

Reduces weapon sway and allows you to hold your breath longer when using scoped rifles. Perfect for specialized builds focused on ranged combat.

Gun Nut

Requirements: Level 0, Intelligence > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Intelligence >=3 (at 1 out of 4 perk levels);

It allows you to modify firearms at level 1 (subsequent levels with next perk levels). An extremely useful ability for almost every build (maybe apart from those focused exclusively on melee combat). It offers a wide selection of firearm modifications.

Hacker

Requirements: Level 0, Intelligence > - Fallout London: Best perks - Basics - Fallout London Guide

Requirements: Level 0, Intelligence >=4 (at 1 out of 4 perk levels);

Allows you to hack advanced terminals (more difficult terminals at subsequent levels of the perk). An ability similar to lock-picking. It will often give you access to secured locations, treasures or allow you to influence electronic equipment in the area (control terminals). Despite everything, we recommend prioritizing locks, which, according to our observations, appear much more frequently than terminals.

List in progress.
