Trip to India

In November of 1985, Albert traveled with a research group to India. This group consisted of a Surgeon, Scientist, Engineer, Medical Doctor, Hypnotist, Magician, two Spiritual Healers, Writer and others. The intent of this trip was to research various subjects including parapsychology, and to research the famous Spiritual Leader Sathya Shree Sai Baba.

The group traveled from Miami to Germany and then to the middle east before arriving in India. It was a trip that lasted thirty-eight hours to Bombay.

After a brief stay visiting Ashrams in Bombay, the convoy of small cars traveled dirt roads across the countryside to Puttaparti. Upon arrival they took lodgings in the Ashram at the Sathya Sai Baba compound. Christmas is a time for major celebration at the compound because Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday is late in November, and Christmas is also celebrated as the time of the birth of Christ. Part of the Christmas celebration is a wonderful musical festival presented at night by candlelight.

Albert with some of the others went on elephant, walking and jeep safaris, exploring the outlying area. On these adventures some wonderful discoveries were made.

Albert and Doctor Smith worked at the eye clinic located at the Sathya Sai Baba Ashram.

After leaving the Sai Baba compound, the group traveled to Bangalore, where they visited the religious centers and places of worship. In this area, they made some side trips to visit temples and famous sites.

Amazing events occurred throughout the entire trip, from the beginning of planning out after their return to the USA.  For more in formation about this trip click here to learn about Albert’s lecture and slide show on this trip.
